Connection is at the heart of UREC’s mission. The club serves as a meeting point for UNC students interested in real estate—from those majoring in business and economics to students in urban planning or environmental studies. Through club socials, collaborative projects, and small group meet-ups, UREC creates a welcoming and inclusive space for students to build relationships with peers who share similar goals. Our mentorship program and internal case competition give members great avenues for focused & meaningful connection.  On a broader scale, UREC links students with industry leaders and companies through on-campus events, virtual panels, and annual Career Treks to real estate markets like Charlotte, Atlanta, and Washington, D.C. These treks allow students to explore different firm types, from large-scale developers and REITs to boutique private equity firms. The club also works to strengthen ties with UNC’s real estate alumni community, giving students a direct line to mentorship, networking, and internship opportunities. UREC doesn’t just help students connect—it helps them build a network that lasts long after graduation.
